How to Find Antique Trucks For Sale

There are many trucks being advertised as antique trucks for sale, but is it truly an antique? The going norm is 20 years old is a classic and 25 years old is an antique so do not be fooled. These ages were set by the  government as the dates that they will allow you to license your vehicle under these classifications.

The easiest place to find an antique truck already restored is either the Internet, local newspaper or like in so many larger towns the local antique and classic car dealerships. I have been into a few of these dealerships and they truly are a place to visit. Most do the restoring themselves. This is done with painstaking detail, but you pay for it upon purchase but oh what a nice job most do.

It is amazing the condition that some trucks are in when they arrive. Until a few years ago trucks were for men and performed work for their whole life span. Most were modified to fit the need of the owner to suit a specific need on the job site or farm.

The antique truck parts are still possible to find and even sometimes in good condition. But while looking at a restored antique truck that is for sale, ask the appropriate questions like who was the previous owner?  What did he do for a living? When was the truck restored?  For the really old trucks one thing that is usually not thought of  is in using old wood where appropriate.  In the past truck beds were made of wood. Finding the right type and age of wood might be difficult but would increase the value of your antique truck.

There are many antique trucks for sale just do your research before getting all googoo eyed on one in front of the owner. That will only increase the price to you.
